7-2-4: PARKING DURING SNOWFALL:
   A.   Declaration Of Snow Emergency: Whenever there is an excessive snow accumulation or a forecast for two (2) to four (4) or more inches or when weather conditions deem it necessary, it shall be within the discretion of the Mayor or official designee, upon consultation with appropriate administrative staff, to declare a weather/snow emergency.
   B.   No Parking On Snow Routes: In the event of such declaration, vehicular parking shall be prohibited on certain village streets and highways designated and posted as "emergency snow routes" to facilitate street clearing, proper movement of vehicular traffic, emergency operations, or to protect life and/or property as follows: Bellevue Place, Boulevard Avenue, Central Avenue, Columbus Avenue, Cox Avenue, Glen Avenue, Glen Elm Drive, Kelly Avenue, Lake Avenue, Moneta Avenue, Monroe Avenue, and Terrace Court.
   C.   Effect Of Declaration: Upon declaration, said emergency shall be in effect for a minimum of twenty four (24) hours or until further notice. Vehicles shall be removed from the above designated routes one hour after the emergency is announced to take effect.
   D.   Enforcement: Any person, firm, or corporation who fails to comply with the provisions of this section shall be subject to the issuance of a traffic citation for illegal vehicular parking and possible towing of the vehicle at the owner's expense. (Ord. 919, 11-20-1979; amd. 2016 Code)
