4-6-15: WAITING PERIODS AFTER SALES:
The licensee under this chapter shall keep all property purchased or received from an individual available for inspection for the period of time as prescribed below before it can be sold, traded, or discarded. Licensees may advertise, display, and sell items during their respective waiting periods but they must remain on the licensed premises until the waiting period expires. Gold and silver commodities identified in subsection B2 of this section may be sold or disposed of after seven (7) days. However, in the event the items are determined to be stolen and the owner is identified within fourteen (14) days of the date of receipt by the dealer, the dealer shall make the owner whole for the total fair market value of the items.
   A.   Fourteen (14) day waiting period:
      1.   All items with serial numbers or other identifying markings/engravings (excluding appliances).
      2.   Memorabilia/collectibles (i.e., autographed items, sports cards, collectible stamps, figurines, etc.).
      3.   Collectible artwork (numbered prints, sculptures, etc.).
      4.   Jewelry (precious metals, gemstones, etc., excluding costume jewelry).
      5.   Collectible currency/collectible coins.
      6.   Musical instruments.
      7.   Automobile wheels/rims.
   B.   Seven (7) day waiting period:
      1.   Appliances.
      2.   Gold/silver and other precious metal coins, bars, etc., valued only as commodities, not otherwise uniquely identifiable or collectible.
      3.   All other items not specified in this section.
   C.   No waiting period required (only below items lacking serial numbers or other identifying markings/engravings):
      1.   Video games.
      2.   Music (CDs, cassettes, records, etc.).
      3.   Movies (DVDs, tapes, etc.).
      4.   Furniture.
      5.   Sporting goods.
