373.12 RIDING ON SIDEWALKS.
   (a)   No person over the age of fifteen shall operate a bicycle upon a sidewalk rather than the roadway, except when that person is accompanying or traveling with a person under the age of eleven years. At no time shall a person under the age of eleven years operate a bicycle on a street.
   (b)   Whenever a person is riding a bicycle upon a sidewalk, the person, before overtaking and passing a person walking upon the sidewalk, shall dismount and overtake or pass on foot. (Ord. 405-1994. Passed 1-9-95.)
   (c)   Whoever violates any provision of this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor on a first offense; on a second offense within one year after the first offense, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree; on each subsequent offense within one year after the first offense, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
