(a) Council hereby designates the following streets and lanes as “no parking fire lanes”, to wit:
(1) Parker Court;
(2) West Mill Street;
(3) Private Lane, D. McNair - Osborne;
(4) Orchard Street;
(5) North Canal Street;
(6) Church Street.
(b) Council further authorizes and directs the Road Commissioner to install “no parking fire lane” signs on said streets, lanes or roads.
(c) No person shall stand or park a vehicle except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic, or to comply with the provisions of the Peninsula Traffic Code, or while obeying the directions of a police officer or a traffic control device in said areas designated as no parking fire lanes.
(d) The penalty for said violation shall be a minor misdemeanor.
(e) Any person charged with said violation may for a first offense waive said appearance in court and pay a fine of twenty-five dollars ($25.00). Such payment shall be deemed a plea of guilty and an acknowledgment of conviction of the alleged offense. No such waiver shall be permitted for any subsequent offense.
