(a) Automatic dialing devices as defined in this chapter shall within sixty days from the effective date of this chapter disconnect from the primary trunkline of the Peninsula Police Department. Upon application for a permit as provided herein, a new non-published number will be issued to interconnect those automatic dialing devices desiring to transmit emergency alarms to the Peninsula Police.
(b) Automatic dialing devices hereinafter interconnected to the Peninsula Police special trunkline shall be restricted to a standard length and content of the recorded message as provided by the police alarm officer.
(c) Local alarms shall not resemble the sound of any emergency signal or civil defense alarm or siren. All local alarms shall have the capacity to reset themselves after fifteen minutes.
(d) Local alarms presently in use as of the effective date of this chapter shall have six months to comply with the requirements of this section.
(e) Provisions outlined in this section are in addition to those provisions in this chapter which are applicable to all alarm users and alarm systems.
