(A) Every employee is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment and following the village’s safety rules. Negligence in adherence to on-the-job safety standards will be considered grounds for discipline and/or termination. Each employee shall promptly report all unsafe or potentially hazardous conditions to the department head. The village will make every effort to remedy problems as quickly as possible. A safety meeting will be held by village light plant employees on the first Monday of every month in accordance with state regulations.
(B) In case of an accident involving a personal injury, regardless of how serious, employees shall immediately first notify the department head, and subsequently, the Village Board.
