§ 113.02 REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE REQUIRED; FEE; EXCEPTIONS.
   (A)   To prevent the sale of fraudulent, dangerous or unhealthful goods and services and to protect the public by maintaining records of the products sold and the persons and companies responsible for such sales, all peddlers and hawkers and itinerant merchants or solicitors shall, before doing business within the municipality, make application for, and be issued, a registration certificate.
   (B)   An applicant who will be in town conducting business on multiple days within a 12-month period shall have the option of applying for an annual permit, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The village must be notified in writing of each date that the business will be conducted within the municipal limits prior to engaging in the activity.
   (C)   The cost of said registration certificate shall be the sum of $10 per day, or $100 annually.
   (D)   Nothing herein shall be construed to require the above registration certificate for any person, or persons, selling produce raised within the county, or at a local farmer's market nor to wholesale salespersons soliciting merchants directly, nor shall this apply to fundraising solicitations for political subdivisions, charities or local non-profit organizations.
