§ 134.38 LIABILITY OF PARENTS.
   If it shall appear that any child taken into custody for a violation of this subchapter is guilty of a violation of state law or has willfully or maliciously destroyed or stolen property, real, personal, or mixed, belonging to any municipal corporation, county, school district, department of the state, person, partnership, corporation, association, or religious organization, the minor's parents shall be liable in accordance with state law for civil damages up to the actual value of the property damaged, in addition to taxable court costs as provided in F.S. § 741.24.
