(A) On vehicles used in the city for the purpose of solicitation of business, or delivery or transpor-tation of merchandise, there shall be prominently displayed, in letters at least three inches in height, upon each side of each vehicle, the name of the owner and the character of business in which the vehicle is engaged. The owner and the driver shall be responsible for compliance with this section.

(B) On vehicles used within the city for the transportation of equipment or materials used in general contracting and building construction, there shall be prominently displayed, in letters at least three inches in height, upon each side of the vehicle, the name of the owner and the character of business in which the vehicle is engaged. The owner and the driver shall be responsible for compliance with this section.
