(A) The franchisee shall cause all its field employees and field contract workers to wear a picture identification badge indicating that they work for the franchisee. This badge shall be clearly visible to the public. Upon request, employees must provide a supervisor's name and telephone number for members of the public to contact.
(B) All company vehicles shall prominently display the name under which the franchisee is doing business, and logo, if any, in a manner clearly visible to the public. Contractor vehicles shall prominently display the contractor name, contractor local business tax receipt number, if applicable, and the franchisee's name. There must be a listed toll-free telephone number for the names displayed.
(C) When any work is performed by or on behalf of the franchisee in the public rights-of-way where the work involves cutting or trenching, or requires more than one hour to perform, each franchisee will post a sign that prominently displays the name under which the franchisee is doing business in the city, and the franchisee's telephone number.
(D) The telephone number posted must be a local or toll free number. The phone must connect to persons trained to receive and respond to calls regarding employees, construction and problems (including repair problems) associated with construction.
(E) If the franchisee does not comply with this section, the franchisee shall have 30 days to cure such violation from the day the franchisee receives notice of such violation. If the franchisee has not cured the violation within 30 days from the notice date, the city shall fine a franchisee for violation of this section $250 per day for each day that the violation continues. The fines shall begin to accrue on the first business day after the 30 day cure period has terminated.
