One sign panel may be permitted on bus benches and two sign panels may be permitted on bus shelters authorized for placement by the city. Each sign panel shall comply with the following requirements:
(A) Sign panel on bus shelters shall have a standard advertising panel size of 48.5" x 68.5". Panels which deviate from the standard advertising panel design and construction shall require approval from the City Manager, or his or designee. In addition, the city shall be permitted to display public community service signs on any bus bench/shelter location as approved by the city and vendor.
(B) A sign panel shall be permitted along the back rest of each bus bench. This panel shall not exceed 12 square feet in size.
(C) Advertising for such panels shall not contain adult material as defined in the Code of Ordinances of the city.
(D) Notwithstanding any other provision of the City Code, paid political advertisements shall be permitted on bus benches and bus shelters in accordance with this chapter.
