(A) Bus benches and shelters shall only be permitted as part of a license agreement with the city.
(B) Bus benches/shelters shall be located at a designated bus stop along commercial corridors subject to approval by the City Manager, or his or her designee. Bus benches and shelters located within residential area corridors or locations not designated as bus stops shall require Planning and Zoning Board approval for location and placement.
(C) There shall be a limit of one bus bench and bus shelter at each qualifying bus stop location. Additional shelters and benches may be allowed by the Planning and Zoning Board upon satisfactory evidence of demand.
(D) Each bus bench/shelter shall be anchored properly on a concrete slab/foundation.
(E) All bench and shelter installations shall conform to applicable federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations, including, but not limited to, the Americans with Disabilities Act and all Florida Department of Transportation requirements.
(F) Each bus bench and shelter installation shall be located to provide for access around any guardrails to allow for convenient access into buses.
