(A) The River of Grass Cultural Arts Center Advisory Board shall consist of nine members who shall be voting members. The members of the Board shall consist of one designee from each of the following organizations in partnership with the city. The Board member representing the Pembroke Pines Academic Village shall be an appointment of the Pembroke Pines City Commission.
(1) Broward County Cultural Affairs Council.
(2) Florida International University.
(3) Broward Community College.
(4) Broward County Southwest Regional Library.
(5) Pembroke Pines Charter High School.
(6) Pembroke Pines Academic Village.
(7) Pembroke Pines Arts and Cultural Advisory Board.
(8) Pembroke Pines Parks and Recreation Department.
(9) South Florida Water Management District.
(B) Each member of the Board shall serve for a term of one year and shall continue to serve until the expiration of his or her term, resignation, removal for cause by the appointing organization or the City Commission, or until a successor is designated by the appropriate organization.
(C) The City Manager, or his or her designee, and the Director of the city’s Parks and Recreation Department, or his or her designee, shall serve as ex officio, non-voting members and shall remain as permanent members of the Board.
(D) No individual member of the Board may recommend their own personal, artistic creations or cultural exhibits to the Board for display or performance. (Ord. 1439, passed 4-2-03; Am. Ord. 1697, passed 9-7-11)
