(A) Any sports or convention facility conducting a special event shall be required to obtain prior to the conducting of the event, a complete electrical, mechanical, and structural inspection and shall further request a Health Department inspection. If the inspections are not obtained, or show deficiencies, the event shall not be held. The cost for the inspections shall be borne by the sports or convention facility proprietors.
(B) In a case where the event involves stage electrical connections for musical equipment or for other purposes, the electrical connections and installations shall be inspected prior to the conduction of the event. Such stage electrical inspections are to be paid for by the proprietors of the sports and convention facilities. (‘69 Code, § 5-198) (Ord. 600, passed 6-2-82; Am. Ord. 1697, passed 9-7-11)
