(A) The City Commission in its legislative discretion, may impose further and more stringent qualifications for prospective members serving on the Code Enforcement Board.
(B) The City Commission shall consider the following as further qualifying factors in the appointment of prospective members to the Code Enforcement Board:
(1) Commitment to the community;
(2) Actual experience and exposure to the categories of membership set forth in § 32.038 herein;
(3) Availability for meetings, conferences, and appearances before the City Commission;
(4) Operation of a business or business entity conducted within the city or surrounding communities, for the purpose of knowledge and understanding of the needs and requirements of the city in effectuating the purposes of this subchapter; and,
(5) Any other additional element or factor which, in the opinion and discretion of the City Commission, warrants the appointment or non- appointment of a member to the Code Enforcement Board. (Ord. 668, passed 10-5-83; Am. Ord. 1697, passed 9-7-11)
