This chapter is adopted for the purpose of protecting and promoting public health, safety, morals, comfort, and general welfare; preventing overcrowding; conserving and protecting property and facilitating adequate but economical provision of public improvements; avoiding congestion in the public streets and highways; and to amend Ordinance No. 335 of the village, as amended by Ordinance Nos. 525, 745, 799, 818, 845, 846, 904, 910, 928, 952, and 1053, effective August 17, 1994, in each and every part thereof that is inconsistent with this amending ordinance, as of the date of the adoption of this amending ordinance.
