(A) The county, acting by and through the county’s Building Department, is hereby authorized and empowered to administer and enforce the provisions of the state’s Building Code within said village, in those areas where it is now, or may later be, properly certified by the Board of Building Standards of the state.
(B) The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and instructed to enter into an agreement with the Board of Commissioners of the county, in the form and style to be approved by the Village Solicitor, to implement the provisions hereof whereby the said county assumes responsibility for administering and enforcing the provisions of the state’s Building Code within the village, the same as the said municipal corporation itself might if certified by the Board of Building Standards of the state.
