(A) An employee may be permanently transferred from one job classification or department to another job classification or department:
(1) At the employee’s request, if, in the opinion of the Village Personnel Committee, it is in the village’s best interest; or
(2) By the Village Personnel Committee for operational or efficiency reasons.
(B) When an employee is permanently transferred, the following may occur.
(1) If transferred to a position in the same pay grade, his or her rate of pay will remain the same.
(2) If transferred to a position in a higher pay grade, his or her rate of pay will be the minimum rate in the new pay grade.
(3) If transferred to a position with lower pay, his or her rate of pay may be adjusted according to the rate of pay for the position.
