165.22 SUPPLEMENTAL USE REGULATIONS – CIVIC USES.
1.   Community Centers and Clubs. Clubs located adjacent to residential uses shall maintain a buffer yard of not less than fifteen (15) feet along the common boundary with such residential use.
2.   Day Care.
   A.   Limited Day Care uses are permitted for dwellings on residential lots where such dwellings are located in a residential district which allows day care as a principal permitted use and may be operated by the occupant of a dwelling unit on the site.
   B.   Day care facilities are permitted by special use permit in the M1 Light Industrial Zoning District only if incidental to a permitted primary use.
   C.   Applicable State regulations under the Code of Iowa must be followed and hours of operation shall be limited to five o’clock (5:00) a.m. to seven o’clock (7:00) p.m.
   D.   Residential day care shall be considered as a home occupation and all home occupation standards as defined in this chapter shall be followed.
3.   Group Care Facilities and Group Homes. Each group care facility or group home must be validly licensed by either the State of Iowa or the appropriate governmental subdivision.
