(A) Definitions. The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this section, shall have the meaning ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning.
(1) Firewood. Wood burned as fuel.
(2) Charcoal. A porous black solid, consisting of an amorphous form of carbon, obtained as a residue when wood, bone, or other organic matter is heated in the absence of air.
(B) Posting of signs by persons engaged in the sale of firewood or charcoal. During elevated fire hazardous conditions, as determined at the discretion of the Fire Chief, any person within the limits of the town who possesses for sale, offers for sale, or sells firewood or charcoal shall prominently display at each cash register and in each area where firewood or charcoal is displayed for sale a sign indicating the following: "The outdoor burning of firewood and charcoal within this town is currently prohibited."
(C) Violation of this section shall be penalized in accordance with § 10.99.
