This chapter provides certain criteria and considerations that apply to alluvial watercourses (i.e. watercourses formed within unconsolidated sediments. This chapter does not apply to watercourses within the town that are formed within bedrock or highly stabilized geologic formations. The engineer shall investigate the specific watercourse characteristics and discuss the matter with the Public Works Engineer, to determine whether erosion and sedimentation concerns need to be addressed for a particular project.
