The Building Advisory Board shall have the following powers and duties:
(A) To sit, as needed, as the Board of Appeals created under any of the town’s building construction or fire safety codes.
(B) To review the town’s construction rules, regulations, ordinances and codes and to make recommendations to the Council for the amendment or repeal of those rules, regulations, ordinances or codes. In so doing, the Board shall consider whether those rules, regulations, ordinances and codes unnecessarily increase the cost of construction or property development in the town.
(C) To assess, consider and review those town policies, procedures, issues and matters relating to construction and fire safety referred to it under the town review process and make recommendations thereon to the Council.
(D) To perform any other function as may be determined from time to time by the Mayor and Council.
