All sidewalks and curbs constructed within the corporate limits shall be constructed under the supervision of and subject to the inspection of the city engineer and the street authority committee, and shall be in conformity with the standard specifications required by the city and the lines and grades laid out on the ground by the engineer. Stakes set by the engineer shall be preserved by the owner and the contractor doing the work. (Prior code § 9-1-18)
