The city is authorized to require that property maintenance activities be performed to abate the nuisance caused by a vacant building, including the following:
(A) Cutting and removal of neglected weeds, grass, trees, and bushes as authorized by this code, as amended, and ILCS Ch. 65, Act 5, § 11-20-7;
(B) Pest control activities, as authorized by this code, as amended, and ILCS Ch. 65, Act 5, § 11-20-8;
(C) Removal of infected trees as authorized by this code, as amended, and ILCS Ch. 65, Act 5, § 11-20-12;
(D) Removal of garbage, debris and graffiti and related activities as authorized by this code, as amended, and ILCS Ch. 65, Act 5,§ 11-20-13;
(E) Removal, securing, and enclosing of abandoned residential properties as authorized by this code, as amended, and ILCS Ch. 65, Act 5, § 11-31-1.01; and
(F) Any abatement activities directed by the Code Enforcement Officer under the city Property Maintenance Code.
