All snowmobiles operated within the city shall have the following equipment:
(A) At least one white head-lamp having a minimum candlepower of sufficient intensity to exhibit a white light plainly visible from a distance of at least 500 feet ahead during hours of darkness under normal atmospheric conditions;
(B) At least one red tail lamp having a minimum candlepower of sufficient intensity to exhibit a red light plainly visible from a distance of 500 feet to the rear during hours of darkness under normal atmospheric conditions;
(C) A brake system in good mechanical condition;
(D) Reflective material of a minimum area of 16 square inches mounted on each side of the cowling. Identifying numbers may be included in computing the required 16 square inch area;
(E) Mufflers which are properly attached and which reduce the noise of operation of the vehicle to the minimum noise necessary for operating the vehicle, and no person shall use a muffler cut-out, by-pass or similar device on the vehicle;
(F) A safety or so-called dead man throttle in operating condition; a
SAFETY or DEAD MAN THROTTLE is defined as a device which when pressure is removed from the accelerator or throttle causes the motor to be disengaged from driving track.
