Any grievant shall receive time to participate in any Step 2 or 3 grievance meeting with the city if any such grievance meeting is conducted during any such grievant's working time. Attendance at any such meeting shall not interfere with any required duty time, and attendance, if during duty time, shall be permitted only upon the prior approval of any such grievant's department head. No other time spent on any grievance matter under this chapter shall be considered.
