§ 33.12 SPECIAL PROVISIONS FOR DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS AND ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS.
   (A)    Job descriptions.
      (1)   Director of Public Works. To plan, direct, manage and oversee the activities, projects and operations of the Public Works Department including street maintenance and construction, central maintenance, building maintenance, waste water services, potable water services, airport maintenance; to coordinate activities within the street, water, and wastewater departments and outside agencies; and to provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Mayor.
      (2)   Assistant Director of Public Works. Provide direct support to the Director of Public Works with a primary focus on the management and day to day operations of the Water and Wastewater departments.
   (B)   In the event that the Director of Public Works or Assistant Director of Public Works shall receive from the Environmental Protection Agency of the State of Illinois a Class 1 (activated sludge over 1 million gallons per day), or a Class 2 (activated sludge under 1 million gallons per day), or a Class 3 (fixed film), or a Class 4 (distribution) Wastewater Treatment Operator’s License issued by said Environmental Protection Agency under their rules and regulations for certification of operators of sewage treatment works the Superintendent of the Waterworks Department shall receive an additional salary of $19.20 bi-weekly, for each license payable at the end of each two-week period; provided, however, that not more than one additional increase in additional salary shall be payable each 12-month consecutive period.
   (C)   In the event that the Director of Public Works or Assistant Director of Public Works shall receive from the Environmental Protection Agency of the State of Illinois a Class A (lime softening and surface supplies), or a Class B (filtration), or a Class C (chemical feed), or a Class D (water distribution) Water Treatment Operator’s License issued by said Environmental Protection Agency under their rules and regulations for certification of operators of water treatment works the Superintendent of the Waterworks Department shall receive an additional salary of $19.20 bi-weekly, for each license payable at the end of each two-week period; provided, however, that not more than one additional increase in additional salary shall be payable each 12-month consecutive period.
   (D)   In the event that the Director of Public Works or Assistant Director of Public Works shall receive from the Department of Agriculture of the State of Illinois a Category 3 Turf Pest Control License, or a Category 6 Right of Way Pest Control License, or a Category 8 Mosquito Pest Control License, or a Category 12 Sewer Line Root Control License issued by said Department of Agriculture under their rules and regulations for certification under the Illinois Pesticide Act, then, in that event, he shall receive an additional salary of $0.08 per hour, per license received.
