(A) Every appointed officer shall hold office for the term of one year or until his or her successor is appointed and qualified.
(B) Employees shall serve as long as their services are deemed necessary by the Mayor, subject to the provisions of the tenure of office law. Unless otherwise provided, the term of each office shall expire on the last day of April following the appointment.
