14-1-16: TRANSFER OF ACCOUNT BALANCES:
Whenever a utility customer closes an account with an unpaid account balance, the unpaid account balance shall be paid in full before any utility deposit is returned to the customer. The balance may also be transferred at the discretion of the village to any new account opened by such customer. If requested by the customer, and if the customer is current on its old account, the village shall also transfer any utility deposit from the old account to the new account. (Ord. 14-17, 10-27-2014)
