5-1-6: VIOLATIONS AND PENALTIES:
   A.   Any person accused of and cited for a violation of an ordinance provision prohibiting the parking or standing of a motor vehicle, may avoid prosecution for the offense by paying to the Village Clerk, within seven (7) days from the date of the offense, the sum of ten dollars ($10.00). If the accused fails to pay the fine assessed within seven (7) days, a final notice shall be sent to the accused. Failure to pay the fine assessed within thirty (30) days of the notice shall result in an increase of said fine to thirty dollars ($30.00).
   B.   All remittances of fines may be made by check, money order or currency and must be accompanied by a signed plea of guilty and a waiver of hearing.
   C.   Payment of fines may be made either by mail or in person. The hours of payment at the Office of the Village Clerk shall be from eight thirty o'clock (8:30) A.M. to five o'clock (5:00) P.M., Monday through Friday, except holidays.
   D.   Failure to pay the citation shall result in prosecution of an ordinance violation in the Circuit Court of the Seventh Judicial Circuit, Sangamon County, Illinois. Upon conviction, the violator shall be fined the sum of thirty dollars ($30.00). In addition, the violator shall be liable for the Village costs and attorneys' fees. (Ord. 94-1, 1-10-1994; amd.
