4-1-16: PENALTY:
   A.   Any owner or keeper of a dog or other animal who violates or fails to comply with the provisions of Section 4-1-1 through Section 4-1-14 of this Chapter shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine of not less than fifty dollars ($50.00) but not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500.00) for each offense, in addition to any costs of the Village as are required to be paid in Section 4-1-1 through Section 4-1-14 of this Chapter.
   B.   Any violation of Section 4-1-15 of this Chapter is punishable by a fine of not less than fifty dollars ($50.00) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500.00). Each day of a violation and each separate animal involved in a violation is a separate offense.
   C.   In addition to the fine, any violation is a public nuisance and may be abated in the manner provided by law. The Village shall also have all remedies available to it under State statutes pertaining to dogs and animals. (Ord. 96-12, 9-9-1996)
