A. Fines: Violation of this Chapter shall be punishable by a fine as follows:
First offense $ 30.00
Second offense 50.00
Third offense 100.00
Subsequent offenses: Not less than $100.00 or more than $500.00.
B. Settlement Of Citations: To avoid prosecution for a first, second or third offense under this Chapter, a violator may, within ten (10) days of receiving a citation, settle the citation by payment of one-half (1/2) of the specified fine at the Village Hall. The Chief of Police is hereby authorized and directed to cease prosecution of any citation so settled.
C. Fines Not Exclusive: Fires in violation of this Chapter are hereby declared to be a nuisance. In addition to the penalties prescribed herein, the Village may proceed in its discretion against any violator to obtain an injunction, or any other remedy provided at law or in equity, to restrain and abate nuisances.
