Any person causing a "nuisance" as defined herein and other nuisance greenery, rubbish and pests, and the owner, occupant or lessee of land on which any nuisance exists, shall correct the nuisance within ten (10) working days' notice in writing, mailed to him or her by the village president, clerk or attorney by certified mail, return receipt requested, at his or her last known address ascertainable by the village, notifying him to correct the nuisance. Where an imminent threat to health or safety is involved, the village president may specify a period of time shorter than ten (10) working days for correction of the nuisance, and the person causing the nuisance and the owner and occupant thereof shall be required to correct the nuisance within the time prescribed in the notice.
