§ 34.04 PROBATIONARY PERIOD.
   (A)   The probationary period for a Police Chief, police officer or special police officer provided for in R.C. § 737.17 be and hereby is extended to a period of one year of continuous service.
   (B)   All candidates for appointment to the positions of Police Chief, police officer or special police officer shall, prior to such appointment, first undergo psychological fitness testing of their own choice, acceptable to the Chief of Police and Mayor, and to undergo such additional psychological fitness testing as shall be required by the Chief of Police and Mayor by a licensed and qualified psychiatrist or psychologist who is experienced in the administering of psychological fitness testing of the nature required for police work.
   (C)   All police officers and special police officers employed by the village in either a permanent or probationary capacity shall submit to annual psychological fitness testing and shall further submit to such additional periodic psychological fitness testing as shall be required by the Chief of Police based upon his or her determination that such additional testing is necessitated by unusual stress or other cause.
