§ 52.05 CHARGES FOR GEOTHERMAL TYPE UNITS.
   (A)   There will be no charge to property owners that have a geothermal type heating and/or cooling system that discharges the water into a well. For a system that discharges in the sewer system, be it sanitary or combined, the discharge must be metered. The meter and installation must be approved by the village. Upon installation of the meter, the ownership and maintenance of the-meter reverts to the village. The property owner is responsible for the initial cost of the meter and its installation.
   (B)   If the property owner refuses to install a meter, the village shall have the option of either disconnecting the sewer service or charging based on the estimate of the quantity of gallons discharged into the sewer system. The determination of the estimate will be based on the maximum pumping capacity of the geothermal unit for the entire duration of the billing period to be estimated.
   (C)   Any cost to the village for either disconnecting the sewer service or determining the estimate shall be a responsibility of the property owner.
   (D)   The charges for gallons, either actual or estimated, that are discharged into the sewer system shall be computed based on the current commodity charge.
   (E)   Any costs or charges shall be collected in the same manner as other sewer charges collected by the village.
