§ 92.27 ABATEMENT FEES AND COLLECTION.

   (A)   In the event the town shall cause to be abated a nuisance on any property, then as compensation to the town for its services in causing the abatement, the owner and/or occupant shall be charged the following fees:

      (1)   For each inspection necessary to determine compliance: $25;

      (2)   For determining private property ownership when necessary: $50;

      (3)   For each time a first class letter is written to the occupant or owners: $10;

      (4)   For labor necessary to abate the nuisance: $50 per person-hour, or fraction thereof;

      (5)   For each piece of equipment used in abating the nuisance: $75 per machine-hour, or fraction thereof; and

      (6)   The actual costs of all materials and parts used in abating the nuisance.

   (B)   If work is performed by an independent contractor, the owner/occupant shall be required to reimburse the town for all such costs.
