Employees of the town shall be entitled to paid vacations, holidays and sick leave as follows.
(A) Vacations. Employees shall be entitled to one week of paid vacation after having been employed for one year. After an employee has accumulated two years or more of service, he or she shall be entitled to two weeks of paid vacation. Provided, however, that employees shall provide their supervisor with at least two weeks of prior notice of their intention to take vacation leave.
(B) Holidays. Employees shall be entitled to the following paid holidays: New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Election Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Provided, that if the holiday falls on a weekend, the employee shall have the holiday on the Friday preceding or the Monday following the holiday, at the discretion of his or her supervisor.
(C) Sick leave. Each employee is entitled to seven days per year of sick leave. Sick leave may not be carried over from one calendar year to the next. If an employee has unused sick leave at the end of a calendar year, he or she shall be entitled to be compensated for such unused leave at his or her standard rate of pay.
