Chapter 703 of the 1977 North Carolina Session Laws was originally codified as §§ 143-151.26 through 143-151.36 of the General Statutes and subsequently repealed by Chapter 393 of the 1999 North Carolina Session Laws. Section 5 of the repealing law, however, provides that structures built before its effective date shall not be affected by any changes made by the repeal.
