§ 1511.01 ADOPTED; PURPOSE; COPIES.
   (a)   Fire Code adopted. There is hereby adopted by the City Council, for the purpose of prescribing regulations for the safeguarding and for the governing of conditions hazardous to life and property from the hazards of fire and explosion, that certain code known as 87CSR1, Title 87, Legislative Rule West Virginia State Fire Commission, Series 1 Fire Code (State of WV Fire Code), being particularly the July 1, 2010 abbreviated edition thereof and the whole thereof, save and except such portions as are hereinafter deleted, modified, or amended by this Article 1511. Fire Prevention Code, a copy of which code shall remain on file in the office of the City Recorder and shall there be available to the public for inspection and use during all regular business hours; and such code is hereby incorporated in and made part of this section as fully as though it were set out herein at length; and from the date on which this City Code shall take effect, the provisions thereof shall be controlling within the limits of the City of Parsons. The code adopted by this section shall be known and may be cited as the Fire Prevention Code.
   (b)   Exemption. This Fire Prevention Code has no application to personal care homes caring for three or less patients or building(s) used wholly as dwelling house(s) for no more than two families; and has no application to farm structure(s); provided, however, that farm structure(s):
      (1)   Used for group sleeping accommodations for farm workers; or
      (2)   Used for educational, health care, assembly, or detention/correctional occupancy are not exempt from the requirements of this Fire Prevention Code.
   (c)   Incorporation of other documents. This Fire Prevention Code does not include a reprinting of all the requirements imposed by statute or by the incorporation of various National Standards and Codes cited in § 1511.03. For ascertaining these additional standards and requirements it is necessary to make reference to these other documents.
