§ 313.99 PENALTY.

   (a)   General penalty. See § 303.99 for general Traffic Code penalty if no specific penalty is provided.

   (b)   Specific penalty. Whoever violates §§ 313.01, 313.02, or 313.04 shall be fined not more than $100; upon a second conviction within one year thereafter shall be fined not more than $200; and upon a third or subsequent conviction, shall be fined not more than $500.

   (c)   Construction zones.

      (1)   Any person who exceeds any posted speed restriction or traffic restriction at a construction site referred to in § 313.08 by less than 15 mph shall be fined not more than $200.

      (2)   Any person who exceeds any posted speed restriction or traffic restriction at a construction site referred to in § 313.08 by 15 mph or more shall be fined not more than $200 or imprisoned not more than 20 days, or both.
