(A) The township hereby adopts by reference the traffic regulations set forth in Public Act 300 of 1949 as amended, being M.C.L.A. §§ 257.1 through 257.923, being the State Motor Vehicle Code, and in particular all of the provisions of Public Act 62 of 1956, as amended by Public Act 514 of 1978, being M.C.L.A. §§ 257.951 through 257.955, for the regulation of traffic within the township.
(B) The Township Clerk is directed and shall keep copies of the State Motor Vehicle Code at the township office for inspection by and distribution to the public.
(C) The purpose of this section is to adopt a code to regulate traffic within the township, to provide for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of the township.
