(A) The Chief shall be the designated public relations person for the Department. He or she shall strive to utilized public interactive skills as part of the Chief Administrative Officer.
(B) The Fire Chief or his or her designee may release facts regarding fires or other emergencies to the news media. All other personnel shall refer all media inquiries to the Chief or the designee.
(C) Members of the public will be allowed into the fire station only when accompanied by a member of the Department or with prior approval of the Chief. The public will always be treated courteously and professionally by all Department personnel.
