§ 50.01  RESOLUTION TO PROHIBIT UNAUTHORIZED PERSONS FROM WORKING ON WATER SYSTEM.
   (A)   The township does hereby authorize the Amberton Village Water Superintendent to perform those services required to operate the Amberton Village Water Department and System.
   (B)   The township, in order to protect the Amberton Village Water System from damages that may result from unauthorized individuals working on any part of the Amberton Water System, does hereby prohibit all unauthorized individuals from effecting changes by any means to all parts of the Amberton Village Water System owned and operated by the township. This includes the turn off/turn on of private residential water service by making contact with the curb stop, or shut off, owned and operated by the township.
   (C)   The township, when notified of unauthorized individuals working on any part of the Amberton Village Water System, including the turning off and on of private residential water service shall immediately contact the Amberton Village Water Superintendent for correction of such.
   (D)   The township, upon confirmation by the Amberton Village Water Superintendent of unauthorized individual working on any part of the Amberton Village Water System, including the turning off and on of private residential water service, shall immediately contact the owner of said lot and effect the shut off of the water service to said residential lot until such time a $500 surety deposit has been made in cash, or money order payable to the township to be held for a period of one year.
      (1)   After a period of one year, from the date of deposit, if no damages have resulted from unauthorized individuals working on any part of the Amberton Village Water System, including the turning off and on of private residential water service, the surety deposit less the costs incurred by the township for the enforcement of such shall be refunded to the individual of record.
      (2)   If costs are incurred resulting from damage caused by unauthorized individuals working on the Amberton Village Water System, the deposit will be forfeited and any additional costs incurred by the township will be added to the next scheduled water bill payable in full. Failure to pay in full will result in legal action plus all costs incurred for the recovery of such.
