§ 35.02  EMERGENCY PURCHASING AND CONTRACTING.
   (A)   In the event an emergency occurs requiring immediate action essential to the public safety, health and/or welfare, the chief purchasing agent with approval from the City Council may make the necessary purchase(s) and/or enter into the necessary contracts without following the specific procedures set forth in this chapter.
   (B)   At least 2 competitive quotes/bids shall be utilized whenever possible as part of this emergency purchasing and contracting process.
