§ 34.13  USE OF PROCEEDS.
   (A)   Ninety-five percent of the proceeds obtained from the collection of taxes pursuant to this chapter shall be used in accordance with M. S. § 469.190, as it may be amended from time to time, to fund a local convention/tourism bureau for the purposes of marketing and promoting the city as a tourist/convention center.  The city may retain a maximum of 5% for administrative costs.
   (B)   The city hereby designates the Park Rapids Convention and Visitors Bureau, Inc., as the recipient of the tax proceeds collected hereunder.
   (C)   Violation of this article shall be considered a misdemeanor and punished by a fine of $700 or 90 days in jail, or both.
