All applications will be referred to the Chief of Police for verification and investigation of the facts set forth in the application. Investigations shall include, but not be limited to, a criminal history records check. The Chief of Police will cause to be made an investigation of the information requested in § 33.23 as shall be necessary and a list of all violations of federal or state law or municipal ordinance and other facts that weigh upon the public interest in considering an application.
