(A) The Assistant Chiefs and firefighters shall be able-bodied and not less than 18 years of age.
(B) They shall become members of the Fire Department only after a 6 months’ probationary period.
(C) The Fire Department may require that each candidate, before he or she may become a probationary firefighter, must satisfy certain minimum requirements of height, weight, education, and any other qualification which may be specified by the Fire Department and that he or she must pass satisfactorily a physical examination.
