If the application for a backhoe operator's permit is approved by the City Council, the applicant shall furnish the city with an unlicensed plumbing contractor's bond issued by a company authorized to do business in the State of Minnesota in the sum of $25,000 to protect, indemnify and save harmless the city from any and all loss, claim, suit or damage, direct or consequential, that the city may sustain by reason of the violation of any rules or regulations. The amount of the bond may be increased by Council resolution to meet the requirements of the State of Minnesota.
