§ 93.02  CREATION AND ESTABLISHMENT OF THE URBAN FORESTRY COMMITTEE.
   There is hereby created and established an Urban Forestry Committee for the City of Park Rapids of which shall consist of 5 members who shall be appointed by the Mayor with approval of the City Council.  The members shall come from different interest groups and/or members of the community, tree professionals, the street department and city government.  The Urban Forestry Committee consists of 3 private citizens, the Park Rapids City Planner, and 1 person from the Park Rapids City Council. Non-voting, advisory members can include representatives of any governmental or agency with a professional responsibility or qualified interested in the protection and promotion of urban forestry practices, such as the City Forester, a DNR Forester, a University of Minnesota County Extension Agent (UMCEA), or a representative from the Hubbard County Natural Resource Management Office.  The Committee shall choose its own officers to be approved by the Mayor and make its own rules and regulations.  It shall keep a record of meeting minutes and make sure that they are distributed to each member in a timely manner.
