There shall be a Personnel Director, appointed by the Mayor, with the approval of Council, for a term not to extend beyond the term of the Mayor making such appointment, and subject to removal by the Mayor.
Each Personnel Director appointed after the effective date of this paragraph shall be and remain a resident of the City. The Personnel Director shall perform such duties as may be prescribed by ordinance and such other duties, not inconsistent with the ordinances of the City, as the Mayor shall direct.
